At one end of the beach, there are BBQ zone and a hiking trail linked with Dragon's Back(Time Magazine declared as the Best Urban Hike in Asia -22 Nov 2004 Asia Issue). When you are in Hong Kong, don't miss to visit Big Wave Bay.

GETTING THERE – MTR (underground rail ) to Shau Kei Wan Station. There are two options, bus no-9 or minibus both to “Shek O Beach” with traveling time around half hour.

For the bus no-9, exit A3 of the MTR station directly access to Shau Kei Wan Bus Terminal. The bus service has diverted routes via “Big Wave Bay” before “Shek O” Terminal( Pls refer to timetable http://www.nwstbus.com.hk). Otherwise , it skip “Big Wave Bay” and head to “Shek O” directly so you need to get off at the T shaped junction of Shek O Road and Big Wave Bay Road (See Photo of the junction with blue square roadsign ) then walk 10 minutes to Big Wave Bay.
